Incomplete cost and uncalculated work

No prices entered.

No market prices; costs omit labor, delivery, utilities and unpriced items.

  • Foundation, footing and anchor engineering
  • Snow, wind, seismic loads and member sizing
  • Connection capacity and fastening design
  • Electrical systems and drainage engineering
  • Labor, delivery, unpriced materials
  • Post/beam/rafter connections and floor-panel fasteners
  • Railing infill, privacy-wall backing and roof longitudinal overhang support
Template and calculation assumptions
  • Member spacing includes both endpoints. Different profiles use independent stock pools.
  • Openings subtract cladding, not structural members. Header/jamb framing is not designed.
  • Fasteners follow editable per-connection/per-panel assumptions; preliminary quantities only.
  • Roof slope is measured across width; ridge runs along length. Overhang extends projected roof on all sides.
  • Shed wall height is measured above floor level; gazebo eave height is measured above post base. Entrance width is clear between post faces. Railing quantities include two horizontal rails, without balusters or hardware.
  • Board counts include a full-width final board for trimming. Panel grids do not reuse offcuts between planes.
  • Cladding fasteners use a rectangular fixing grid at the editable stud/fixing spacing in both directions, including endpoints on full wall bounding boxes; openings are not deducted. This is a conservative preliminary assumption, not connection design.

Example and dimensions

Editable example: 4 × 3 m, low eave 2.4 m, deck level 0.2 m, 25° roof slope and 0.25 m overhang. Post spacing 2 m; rafter/joist spacing 0.6 m; 6 m stock.

Required inputs

Length, width, eave/deck heights, roof, post/beam/rafter profiles, spacing, floor boards/panels, entrance, supported railing sides, rear privacy wall, usable/physical roofing dimensions, waste and optional user prices.

Formulas and assumptions

The ridge runs along length; slope runs across width. Roof area equals (length + 2 overhang) × (width + 2 overhang) / cos(slope). Both endpoints are included in repeated-member runs. Posts frame the entrance gap. Each profile has its own cutting pool. Roofing uses a complete rectangular grid on each plane, with overlaps and trim reported separately.

Geometric consumption, parts, stock, offcuts, kerf and user reserve are separate. Stock without a layout algorithm is NOT_CALCULATED. Fasteners are preliminary estimates from explicit spacing and connection-count assumptions. Prices come from the user; labor, delivery, utilities and unpriced items are excluded.

Limitations

GAZ-01 is open with gable roof and optional deck. GAZ-02 requires a deck and mono-pitch roof; a rear privacy wall is optional. GAZ-03 requires a deck and selected railing zones with an entrance gap. Loads, foundations, anchors and connection capacities are not designed.
