Are these structural calculations?

No. They estimate material quantities only. Bar diameters, spacing, foundation depth and load capacity must be confirmed by a qualified engineer.

Why do brick and block results differ from site practice?

Wastage, breakage, bond patterns and openings vary by site. Treat the result as an order-of-magnitude figure and add your own allowance.
